Any idea if/when Mirage 2000 will be available on Steam? I'd prefer not to purchase it this way, but I have a 500$ credit on Steam still, and would like to start chipping away at it with DCS products, and Mirage2000 and the new 2.0 map aren't available there from what I can see.

Probably when it's coming out of beta (or is at-least feature complete).

In the mean time, you can buy every other modules except those 2 on steam and just use them on a stand-alone DCS install?

You can use steam bought modules on the standalone DCS install without a problem. (other way around does not work). At the dcs website under the profile tab, you can enter your steam key for the module and link it to your account.

It's a big pita that's why not. I've bought A10C on a sale there once, and it was a big pain getting things straightened out, there are other issues with this, there are threads active on this forum about it. FAR easier to NOT use Steam to either purchase, or play, however as I said, I have a large credit on Steam and nothing else there interests me, so I'm forced to purchase some DCS stuff there.

As soon as all the major features are complete. Only item in the list is the INS.

"Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning."

"The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."

Perfectly happy Steam user here and so far all the "shit" I have bought on there from ED for DCS world is working beautifully. It may be behind the newest releases but at least what I buy is very stable and I don't need to be an IT specialist to make it all work.

Still, everyone to their own :)

Same here, zero problems so far. Strange...

When everyone would use steam we could get rid of starforce and have a great performance increase.

I can wait for a great module. Really looking forward to it.
