I find they assign whatever runway end is closest no matter the wind.

At Vaziani, ATC assign only RWY 14, no matter the position where I start.

Today I tried different wind speeds and directions at Anapa and Krymsk. It seems ATC only assigns the correct runway if the wind comes directly from the direction of the runway, i.e. at Anapa/Krymsk RWY 04 if wind direction is set to 220° (you know this mess, wind directions are reversed in ME), that is wind from 040°.

I tried wind about 30° off RWY heading, and now I was always sent to RWY 22 for take-off by ATC, regardless of tailwind.

Yet another point to simply ignore in-game ATC until this gets fixed by ED. Until then one can only read the wind info in the briefing, add/subtrakt 180° and select the correct RWY accordingly.

Same issues in 2.xx. Very annoying when you set up a rain storm with high winds and you are instructed to take off always at the same end of the runway WITH the prevailing wind at your tail. I researched for Nevada and the wind invariably comes from the South West but takeoff and landing is always in the opposite direction - the North East. Also, it is not in alignment with the approach information provided in DCS airfield diagrams.
