I have a "nice" shadow with these. When you zoom out from your aircraft in external (or zoom from any object) the shadow is not rendered anymore the plane (object) is darkened abruptly similar to the known bug when close to moving Kusnetzov or whatever. The whole 90 series of triver have this issue.

I use maximum settings minus water-medium and vizib range-medium (4AA and 4AF). No tweaks for FPS or any tricks in config.

I reverted promptly to 84.25.

such a pity about the shadow thingy, since otherwise the drivers seem smooth and stable. anyone know whether the shadow bug is driver related or LOMAC related?

this is very interesting, i have nievely just gone with the latest available whql drivers from nvidia.

i have a bfg6800 ultra so seeing others with this era card still using 80.xx series drivers is something i was not aware of.

seems like the 84.25 release has the vote so far.

i guess its far to say that although the latest release drivers are compatible with the older cards they are not exactly focusing on the performance of the older cards, more worried about quad sli etc.

look forward to trying that 84.25 driver out, thanks for the info.

I am having some problems but im sick of them now going back to 84.25 .

As long as a driver works for what I have in my box i dont care about the latest.
