504MrWolf Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Fast foward ? Glad you had the evidence to backup this claim as usual :P Thats the BO105 it really flys that fast. www.VVS504.co.uk www.lockonskins.co.uk
Disso Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 MYGOD that must be one of the best pilot's in the world, he was skimming the blades of the grass! When he nosed over once clearing the treetops, I would cures shit to myself every single damn time, It just scared me that bad! Sheesh....can you imagine youreslf on that helicopter? I would be snug up against the back of the chair clenching the armrests like there was no tomorrow, with my heart in my stomach. SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
warthogmadman987 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I've seen that vid before, it is real cool!
hitman Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Its fake. Totally fake. 100% photoshopped. See??? Trident Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Fantastic stuff! I don't think the footage is sped up either.
Force_Feedback Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I wasn't saying the whole thing is at 2x speed, but sections seem to be (camera shaking really sharp) 0:42-0-46 -> sped up, no way the camera can be so jiggly in the vertical plane, and the tree branches move too fast, even if they were under the effect of some serious rotorwash. There are some other sections that were 'knightriderized' or 'airwolfed' (last one would fit this better). But even at half the speed the video was shown, well, it must have been impressive, scary, cunning and totally awesome at the same time. I can't imagine walking out of the passenger seat with dry pants. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Piffer Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 It's really fast forwarded. See this another vídeo: http://pff.blogsome.com/2005/12/09/e-assim-que-se-voa-no-exercito/ Some maneuvers are performed at 100 kt and it's not so fast like that BO-105. http://vootatico.com
Shaman Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Ze Germanz have entire group of anti-armor Bo-105 helos, and they all are trained to fly like this. Respect. My father cought once a chance to be passanger during one of their trainings, and told me how scared he was :D I'm bumping this thread because Bolkow heli is really nice. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
Force_Feedback Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I once seen a police chopper demo (swat insertion), and when the bo-105 took off, it went 2 skilengths above some concert podium while climbing, that was very cool, I was sure it was gonna hit the stage, but it just flew away. Even the Russians with their nationalism and feeling of supremacy bought some Bo-105s for their ministry of emergencies. My country will ditch them for MD900s, that have weight and performance issues and are delayed by 4 years already. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
golfsierra2 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 MYGOD that must be one of the best pilot's in the world, he was skimming the blades of the grass! This was an German Army helicopter, and our guys were trained to do exactly this: Flying as low as possible, using every tree for cover and stay low to avoid radar pick-up. It was training for the war between the Warsaw Pact and the Nato, which fortunatelly never happened. Imgagine what they will do with the new Eurocopter Tiger !! kind regards, Raven.... Guest IguanaKing Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 MD900s are proving to be fine medevac helicopters in the civilian sector in the US. BO-105s have also been used extensively in that role here, proving to be quite reliable as well. I just hope Eurocopter doesn't have the same electrical systems in their helicopters as Aerospatiale does. That stuff is a little scary. I'm hoping their skin is a little better too.
Piffer Posted October 1, 2006 Author Posted October 1, 2006 Not aerobatic, real German Army BO-105 NOE flight: http://pff.blogsome.com/2006/10/01/mais-bo-105/ http://vootatico.com
Force_Feedback Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 That is great, the Mi-24P and -V also did that on a regular basis, and those are way less nimble. But their rotor tips are tough enough to trim some treelines :P Just paint them in time, so the commander won't see it Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
