Loz Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 (edited) Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. When I first had these pedals (just a couple of weeks ago) they worked fine once set up, and now that I've changed from Win 8.1 to Win 10 they just don't get recognised in either of the latest versions of DCS. They show up fine in both the MFG configurator and the Win 10 game controller settings. Was something changed in the latest versions of DCS?? NeilWillis Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 It sounds to me like the issue may lay with a problem within DCS World. Did you try uninstalling DCS and deleting the inputs files in your saved games folder then reinstalling and starting afresh?
dburne Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 I am running the Crosswinds in Win 10 with no issue. I would first try just deleting the Crosswinds input file under saved games, it will be in your username saved games -DCS- config folder. Look in the module folder, and see if you see the Crosswinds listed under the joystick folder for that module. Sokol1_br Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 You look at DCS controls > plane name > axis > if the pedal brake axis are correct assigned, and with proper sensitivity, deadzone adjust? DCS controls normally recognize plugged controllers, but not always in correct way.
Loz Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 Found the answer guys. The pedals needed to be fully calibrated using the MFG Configurator. (RTFM) As it was they were only moving slightly as far as Win 10 was concerned and once calibrated properly with the configurator they showed full movement in the Win Game controller settings. Thanks for all the help. All Good now. Great pedals by the way, if anyone is interested in buying them. :) i9 9900x at 5.1 Ghz // ASUS ROG Maximus XI Formula EK Bloc // 64Gb Corsair Vengence 3600Mhz DDR4 Ram // Gigabyte Aorus 3090 Watercooled block//Samsung SM951 M2 x4 SSD // Windows 10 64 Bit //48inch LG48 @ 3840x2160 120Hz//Asus ROG Swift PG35VQ 3440 x 14440 144Hz // TM Warthog HOTAS (Ser. sobe Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Loz FYI, the new TM rudder pedals are not very good. I am keeping my old CH pedals and just holding on to the TM pedals as a cheap backup. Do you still fly the A10? What a fantastic piece of work your Helios profile is-without it, I doubt if I could fly it so well.
