Yes indeed a thread without

Cali, Piotasso, GGTharos, S77th-Goya, IguanaKing and without D-Scythe.

I guess I was not the only one missing the thread …

Wait a minute, these guy’s were not missing the thread but they are Americans. :D

From now on I will boycott every F-22 thread! :D

Wow, making up facts already huh? I mean, I thought I was *Canadian*, but since you say I'm "American" I guess I am :disgust:

Hitman, don't worry about it. This thread obviously pretends Eurofighter is #1, so there won't be many facts being tossed around, just opinions. I'm out.

American may refer to:

  • A person or attribute of the Americas, the lands and regions of the Western Hemisphere
  • A person or attribute of the United States

BTW, Pillotasso refers to the 3th option:

American may refer also to:

4-4-0, a type of railroad steam locomotive :D

So you're using a promo film as fact now? LOL..

The title was taken from the official www.eurofighter.com site.

You have to admit that they warned us about the material as being a “Promotion film”

and thus “Not pretend to be RL or realistic sequences”.

The message was that the role was a 5th generation Multirole fighter aircraft and in that global role indeed “Nothings Comes Close”

BTW, I admit that in the category “air-superiority” it is only #2. ;)

I've seen this a long time ago. It is pretty neat, I like the guy screaming when he's trying to hit the plane, hehe :D

That site seems to hold the Flanker in high regards:

The Sukhoi-27 Flanker is the standard by which Western aircraft are measured in the post cold war environment. Only the prohibitively expensive F-22 comes close to matching the Flanker on mission effectiveness

hmmm.. so they live in that parallel universe- the one without any F15's in it. Gotcha.

There is a graph (cost versus Air Dominance) of western fighters on their site:

http://www.eurofighter.com/Typhoon/Cost/

Click on the Affordable Air Dominance –tab

The F-15F is in 3th place (before Rafale 4th place)

@Pilatosso,

American refers also to loco icon10.gif

I really enjoyed it....great entertainment for 8 min.The scene where he's being chased by the rpg?[not sure if that's what it is] kinda reminds me of the scene in the movie "BEHIND ENEMY LINES"where the f/a-18F is being chased by 2 SAMS for like 20min......a whole lot of hollywood involved there lol!!

A WHOLE LOT of Hollywood! Even if the missile did all that, the proximity fuse would've damaged his plane. I figured they'd at least stick with "real world" capabilities (not just the typhoon, but the missiles, etc as well) and stay away from the spice of watching fuel become afterburner, etc, since they're trying to sell a real aircraft, instead of a computer game of their aircraft...

LOL...Sonny. I guess this is the point where I am supposed to switch my normal mode of posting and simply make a single, glib statement.

OK...here it goes, I'll try my best.

Ummm...oh yeah...Don't believe European hype and propaganda! :D

Was that a convincing enough argument? No? Well...I tried. :(

I only buy the several sustained 9G turns in the video.

Needless to say, that I would throw away first the heavy load before making all these fancy evasion maneuvers at 9G+ being in that critical situation.

Anyway it was the first made Su-35 kill on video :pilotfly: .

Not sure where you saw several sustained 9G turns in that "Behind Enemy Lines" ripoff. The guy at the SAM battery even acted the same as Mr. "Super Sniper" in that movie. The first Su-35 kill on video? Well, if future wars are fought between CGI aircraft, the poor Su-35 doesn't stand a chance. :megalol: Great flick though, as corny as it was, it was still pretty cool.
