theGozr Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Looking to trim the aircraft but where is it? I think it cannot be make into a rotaty button but he has to be somewhere.. i don't see any Su-25 trim setup.. :( Thx Fly it like you stole it..
SuperKungFu Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 you have to map it out to buttons like ctrl ;,./ And theres no reset trim on the Su-25 either. The AFM planes work a little differently. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
theGozr Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 ?? all my planes are in the rotary of the X45 throttle, i need to find th e Su25 specific trim setup to not move my other trims setting for the other planes... ?? Fly it like you stole it..
SuperKungFu Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Sorry but like i said the AFM planes work differently. The trim won't work with rotary. For me i mapped it to my 2nd hat switch on my X-52. Actually i mapped these keys (;,./) so it can act as my TD box. And whenever i need to trim, my pinki switch is ctrl so i press that and now the 2nd hat switch acts as my trim function. Much easier IMHO. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Ironhand Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 ?? all my planes are in the rotary of the X45 throttle, i need to find th e Su25 specific trim setup to not move my other trims setting for the other planes... ?? On my X-45, I have one rotary assigned to trim the SFM aircraft. And I use the top hat switch for trimming the AFM aircraft (Su-25, Su-25T). The rotary doesn't trim the AFM aircraft and the hat switch doesn't trim the SFM aircraft. SuperKungFu Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 hat switch doesn't trim the SFM aircraft. Is SFM the other flyables like Su-27, F-15, A-10...etc? If so, i can trim using the hat. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
theGozr Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 Yes i anderstand but what i'm asking is where is the command on the setup ? or i just need to setup trim on my joy for the su25's as well then i will have both.. ?? Fly it like you stole it..
Ironhand Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 ...or i just need to setup trim on my joy for the su25's as well then i will have both.. That's what I did. I find the SFM (Su-27, F-15, A-10, etc) aircraft much easier to trim smoothly using the rotary. theGozr Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 yes i agree also i did a nice smooth curve for the rotary.. but for the Su25's wich control name in the flight/setup ? I think i'm not quite clear ;) Fly it like you stole it..
Maximus_G Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 yes i agree also i did a nice smooth curve for the rotary.. but for the Su25's wich control name in the flight/setup ? The first trim key assignment position is highlighted.

zaelu Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 After discovering that I cannot trim the AFM planes with rotaries I decided to work with a hat and the "E" button (on X52) for reset trims (where posible). I even consider to drop the rotaries from triming the planes in IL-2 series also... when I tested my Cougar I didn't even bother asigning the rotaries for trim... I tested brake and prop pich on rotaries. That's till I finsh my "Trim box" which will be made from 3 "control wheels" from "AOC" type monitors (those nice digital wheels with two switches for left and right and a third on axis press... like the range knob on Cougar only digital) that will do trim on 3 axis and will have three reset trims butons. All will be "wired" on a disasambled cheap "gamepad" like PS controller. This way I will have all the time trims on "wheels" but digital enough so nogame will bother. And will be more precise cause I'm sick of spikes and wird middle position.
