Hey Rlaxoxo,

 

I've been recently watching this video while trying to distinguish each sound between each other. The wind sound is clearly audible but I guess it sounds quieter while wearing the helmet. It appears there's an engine whistle which is affected by the throttle position, just like in F16 BMS and that's really great. Any chance you could add this to your soundmod ?

Hmm, I've seen the video and I've had similar thoughts but at the same time not sure if I can add a sound, I would have to change one existing sound, find the good sound example and try to replicate it.

 

Currently Razbam Is working with the Sound effects dev from ED to make good sounds and stuff and I expect it to be changed here and there

 

Not sure Maybe later on I get around adding something if I see it's missing but for now i'm not really gonna mess with it so much.

 

As for the Wind noise ya it's loud and while that's all good and dandy like you can see the sounds in 2.0.3 are they are a tad bit too loud for my taste you can remove the wind noises from the mod or increase them your self if you find them undesirable

I can't fix the Idle turbine noise in the cockpit when you look down or to the left or right I also noticed this issue in FC3 planes (Not sure why is this happening ether)

I tried fix the problem but didn't manage to succeed as of making this post)

What I did: "deleted" (actually renamed it) the combustion_idle.ogg in the Coremods/Aircraft/M2000-C/Effects/Engines/SnecmaM53 map. I had no engine stuttering sound while taxing anymore. The engine stuttering started in my case when I pushed the throttle out of idle and than start to taxi. Very disturbing. It took me also quite some time before I discovered the problem. Why it gives a stuttering sound I really don't know like you said. For the time being I deleted/renamed it. It is not THE solution as it should work properly.

I've had a chat with CptSmiley with this issue and it's an issue with the code that was implemented early on in the project he since then corrected it and now it's fixed in the Dev Version

 

There was no issue with the Sounds them selfs its just if you went above certain speeds the engine volume is changed so on and so forth will take too long to explain

 

I guess we will see the Fix for this in the next Update

Issue appeared again after I installed DCS Sound Mod V5. However, there's no more MagicSeek.sdf in the sdef folder. Any hint on this ? The Magic seeking sound has vanished, I can't explain why.

Magic_550.ogg is present, I don't get it. :huh: Even when I replace the original sdef and ogg file I still don't have that magic seeker sound. There's some kind of black magic stuff out there.

Everything has been added no need to use the Mod

 

Except if you want like some extra warning tones but I'd rather not use it since not sure if the files are any different now
