m1tp2king Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 hi. I want to buy the new pascal titan x. maybe 2 for SLI. what brand should I buy ? MSI or ASUS ? I want the best quality, price is no problem. I had a terrible experience with Gigabyte. will never buy again. thanks.
remi Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I don't think there will be partner cards. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
cichlidfan Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Waste of money. If DCS is your main game then SLI is an even bigger waste of money. ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme 8GB, Corsair HX1000i, Phillips BDM4065UC 40" 4k monitor, VX2258 TouchScreen, TIR 5 w/ProClip, TM Warthog, VKB Gladiator Pro, Saitek X56, et. al., MFG Crosswind Pedals #1199, VolairSim Pit, Rift CV1
Chief1942 Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I have a TitanX current iteration, not the Pascal, but as I understand it, you will have to acquire it directly from NVIDIA. And cichlidfan is correct in that SLI is a waste of money and resources for DCSW. I know I had an SLI setup and actually got better performance once I went back to one graphics card. Good luck in whatever approach you decide on. As to brand, I have always been partial to ASUS but then that is an individual thing based on experience. Intel i5-4690K Devil's Canyon, GForce TitanX, ASUS Z-97A MB, 16GB GDDR3 GSkill mem, Samsung SSD X3,Track IR, TM Warthog, MFG Crosswind pedals, Acer XB280HK monitor,GAMETRIX KW-908 JETSEAT
Konovalov Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Nvidia are not going to do partner card. As mentioned by Chief1942 you will have to Ge it direct from Nvidia, off the tree so to speak.
