Hello.

Problem here. When I start game everything is ok and normal. After one mission played everything menu-related is slowed and laggy in response. More missions played without restarting the game worse the situation is. I need to restart the game very often because of this. It is not FPS related problem as I have good machine and flight itself is still smooth and feels unaffected. It is only menu-content related. See what it is about in this video:

Not similar but exactly the same. I see you recieved no answer though :( Anyway thanks for share your thread I will keep an eye on it. Did you try DCS2? Wonder if issue persist here.

Yes, no answer or reaction from ED, neither to your thread, nor to mine.

Very disappointing.......

I had the same problem in 2.02, but I uninstalled it,

due to other reasons. Though I might install now 2.03.

personally not seeing the issue.

to report it, I either need to see it myself or have the data to show it is happening.

I can not report something if I do not have any thing to show

attach your whole logs folder zipped, also dxdiag reports, anything to help show the issue.

Hi, one can see the issue on the video

of Andrew-76. Once clicked the "OK" button,

the button stays in its down, pressed position, and

it takes up to 15 second for to react.

The same happens with the settings dialogs, in game.

One clicks to anything, e.g. search, or try to change a

settings, and it takes ages to do it, that is, if it works.

Often one clicks to a keyboard or joystick key or button, and

the settings dialog won't react to it. E.g. One wants to change the default setting

for any light from, let's say "L" to CTRL-L = no way. Then one hast to pull down and manually select "L" and modifier "Ctrl".... Logs included.

Problem definitely not due to my specs:

video is great, it does show the issue, but it gives me no data to use.

The devs will have seen these posts, so don't think the lack of a reply is an indication of no action being taken.

I will ask the ED team on Monday about the issue, and thanks for the logs

Just the default defender from Microsoft here.

Though now I have disabled a monitor calibration software (Spyder) and it seems

that the problem has disappeared, still trying to reproduce it.

Can it be?

personally I stop all third party software from running when I am flying or testing, it is the only way to be sure it is DCS related.

Thank you for you care! I do use BitDefender AV. I just tried to turn it off and fly a mission but no difference. Tell me how can I help you. What data do you need and how can I acquire them. I will try to help anyhow I can.

EDIT:

Ok, first read, then write I guess... logs attached. It is only files from today. I played only one mission today. Started game, loaded mission in editor, played mission, then checked if problem is there (it was) and exit game. Game crashed as usual when exiting when described probelm is present. I hope it help!

no problem, and thanks for the logs.

First of all, try adding DCS to BitDefender's white / ignore list ( BitDefender has been known to be troublesome with DCS )

Make sure DCS is running as admin

close any other programmes running at the same time as dcs

If you get some time add your dxdiag to a post here

DXDIAG

1. click on "START"

2. click "run"

3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"

4. check through the tabs and perform all tests

5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

6. attach this text file to your next reply.

The ED team do look at posts here, even if they do not reply, so any information is helpful

thanks

Now I don't really understand this game anymore :D Ok, I ran DCS as Administrator and ran it by bin/dcs.exe, not by bin/DCS_updater.exe (icon). It solved menu lag problem but created other, even worse one.

First, for some reason game want registration key again. Why does it even requires so I don't understand as pirate check is connection to online account like in every other online game nowdays. When I refuse to insert key (triple times) game starts and connect to online account, everything is there, no problem. However this is just cosmetic issue I don't care much about.

But when I enter game the hell begins. I am used to experience low fps freezes in larger missions with accelerated time. Never had any in normal time scale. Now I am on airfield where is nothing and have 4 fps. Few seconds later 20, then 60, then 4 again. Wow. I saw some topics about those issues so I will try to look tomorow. I feel like in my job. Resolving one problem create two others, even worse... :) Ey, and by the way, here is the diag file. Still wondering if there is another way to get rid of those menu lags because I'd rather play with them than with random fps drops for no reason even with significantely reduced graphics settings :/

thanks for the dxdiag report

I would start with updating your drivers

your gpu drivers are a little out of date Driver 7. 8. 2015

also your realtek audio driver which is from 29. 10. 2013

also make sure windows is up to date as well

let us know how you get on

I would completely deinstall Bitdefender and reboot :)

If your problems are then gone you know what AV to avoid in the future.

I have that lag in menu, sometimes clicking a button lasts 15 secons or more. No bitdefender installed or others 3rd applications

It is specially critic after a mission witw several units, believe this problem it is not from my side

My config: clean W7, 32GB Ram, SSD (Samsung 2TB), 4960x clocked to 4.5 GHz (hyperthreading disabled) and TITAN X

Hi again, and by the way the problem was not caused by my

monitor calibration software, I have disabled it, and mail, screenshot software lightshot,

leaving only Windows 10 native processes running, and the problem persists.

Though, it appears only after quite a while, at least half-an-hour or so.

I have updated those drivers, have been doing this run-as-admin-stuff and got some improvment in the way that I can now fly more missions before problem appears and game restart is needed. So it's still there just not so critical as before.
