Aginor Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Funny idea. Not sure this is going to happen soon, but it does look like it could be really fun. DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
Schmidtfire Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Looks cool! The VR resolution is not really there yet to spot targets and doing combat for extended periods of time... I tried a CV1 a couple of days ago and the scale and feeling of 3D space is phenomenal  Sadly, instruments and details are barely readable even with a pixel density of 1.5-2.0. and your eyes get tired quite fast. But when the 2-3rd gen VR devices are out, this concept will be really interesting :)
Mt5_Roie Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Yeah was something I thought would be cool to do. Trying to think of ways we can use VR outside the cockpit. I think it'll be cool in the future if we can do actual pre-flight walk around checks of the aircraft to make sure it's all good. I have my pixel density at 2 usually and don't have much issues seeing the gauges. So I guess it depends on setup. Video by Rioe very interesting Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
