diditopgun Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I did a TACAN A/A test with a friend (he was in M2000) and it works fine, even too much fine. I should receive only distance to him but I receive bearing too. (M2000 TACAN has correct behaviour because he receives only my distance) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel I7 8700K / RTX 3080 / 32Go DDR4 PC21300 G.Skill Ripjaws V / MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon / Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold - 1000W / Noctua NH-D14 / Acer XB270HUDbmiprz 27" G-synch 144Hz / SSD Samsung 860EVO 250Go + 1To / Cooler Master HAF X / Warthog+VPC WarBRD / Thrustmaster TPR / Track-IR v5 + Track Clip Pro / Windows 11 64bits.
AJaromir Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I don't understand. In TACAN A/A you should get bearing and distance. In TACAN A/A REC you should obtain only bearing.
Svend_Dellepude Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 (M2000 TACAN has correct behaviour because he receives only my distance) ...or F-5 TACAN is correct because M-2000 only receives distance.. :) F-5 to F-5 will only give distance so I think it's the Mirage that's isn't correct. Svend_Dellepude Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I don't understand. In TACAN A/A you should get bearing and distance. In TACAN A/A REC you should obtain only bearing. Not all airframes are able to give a bearing. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.
IvanK Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I don't understand. In TACAN A/A you should get bearing and distance. In TACAN A/A REC you should obtain only bearing. No not usually. In Fighter to Fighter A/A Tac use you get Distance only even with T/R. Some Airborne aircraft (Tankers) can if fitted also provide bearing. In General A/A TACAN only provides Distance
