Cavemanhead Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'd like to make a mission that puts planes of each era at each of the 4 airports, etc... And then simply practice take-offs, landings, etc... While there are other planes in the pattern practicing touch and goes, etc... Does one simply make a given plane have a landing waypoint and TO waypoint immediately after? Is that how to get them to perform a touch and go?
nomdeplume Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 There is no way to make AI aircraft perform a touch and go, or take off again after landing. The closest you'd be able to get is having AI take off and land, and re-spawn new ones. There are scripts around on the forums to help you if that's a workaround you're willing to accept.
Camembert Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Thanks for asking the question Cavemanhead. I was too trying to set up a mission that had all my modules at one airfield (start up, take off, fly, land practice) which is easy to do but also wanted to simulate lots of traffic in and around the area. Being a noob at all this is holding me back with the latter and despite searching can't find any pointers. All my AI aircraft seem to get easily bored with me and head off into the sunset to find something more interesting to do or just disappear :) Hopefully some helpful & intelligent person can give us a few hints.
MasterZelgadis Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I didn't take a closer look to it yet, but maybe you can simulate such a thing with the MOOSE framework (AI balancer)? If I saw that correctly you can spawn AI flights with it. Spawn, let them take off, land, despawn, repeat.. If not with MOOSE, a script doing that should not be too(ooo) complicated "Sieh nur, wie majestätisch du durch die Luft segelst. Wie ein Adler. Ein fetter Adler." http://www.space-view.net
Cavemanhead Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Wow... Will post request for touch and go's in the wishlist... Should be a very basic function to include... Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
feefifofum Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 If you just want the AI to follow you around without being part of the same flight, select the flight and use advanced waypoint actions -》 perform task -》follow. If you don't want them to start until you're in the pit, check "late activation" and then create a trigger 1 ONCE (myjet alive, NO EVENT) -》UNIT ALIVE (myjet) -》 GROUP ACTIVATE (AI followers) THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
