I'm moving away from my Steam installation to the standalone 1.5. I also have 2.0 installed on this computer.

Are modules activated per machine, or per installation? What I'm asking is: do I need to deactivate my Steam modules before activating them on the standalone?

Thanks!

AFAIK modules are activated per machine.

Deactivating the module for the Steam 1.5 - *may* also deactivate the module for 2.0 (untested), so I'd leave things as is, unless you are changing PC's or reinstalling the OS.

No,

Just install Standalone, Make sure your key is bound to your account, then install any modules via module manager or GUI Utility.

No Need to de-Activate, as it's Machine/HAL <=> License Key Linked.
