elcoo Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) Hello, first of all, I'm very excited that we got the multicrew update today, great job! :) I tried it with a buddy and he had a very hard time aiming. The picture on his viviane screen was shaking very hard. He sent me this video of it: [ame] [/ame] He's aiming using a Saitek x52, if that makes a difference... Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this or if it's a known issue. Edited August 20, 2016 by elcoo
Hook47 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Looks like what the Vivane did with early release of the Gazelle with a single pilot. I suspect this is probably a MP beta bug
Mt5_Roie Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 What I found helped was putting the TV on center, then having pilot turn on slave, and then moving TV. Its something we'll look into though. Coder - Oculus Rift Guy - Court Jester
Home Fries Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I didn't experience the shaking like that, but had an issue where going into slaved mode caused the camera to start oscillating left and right so that there was no way to slew to the target. I could target using Viviane while unslaved, but slaved would cause the sight to go crazy. Of note, this happened later in the flight, after we had changed aircraft twice before going back to the same SA342M (first because we couldn't be repaired, and the second because we couldn't be rearmed/refueled), so if syncing broke down that's a datapoint. -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
twobells Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) Remember you have the option to turn down cockpit judder in the SA342 'special' option menu. However, I recommend following the brief notes posted in 'multicrew so far' thread, as in: Pilot comes to a hover, sets auto-collective then passes control to his WSO (weapons commander), the WSO has his HOTS set to 'lock' he then changes to manual slews to target then hits slave to target, the SA342 adjusts its heading in line with the Viviane reticle, you should then get a green light from the weapons board and release weapon. gl Edited August 21, 2016 by twobells [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Rig: W10 PRO 64 bit, Intel 7700K, Asus Maximus IX Code, 32GB G-Skill Ripjaw DDR4, EVGA RTX 2080 TI, Samsung 1TB M.2 970PRO SSD Primary HDD, 4TB Storage, TH Warthog, Oculus Rift, 27" Samsung 4k Display. 2x Wheel Stand Pro v2 (Hotas & Stick) + Warthog Stick Adaptor
