Good option, taking advantage of their introduction lower price - you can get two different sizes for the price one of "others".

They use CNC for thread and the rest is common to all, just aluminum tubes. ;)

Or ask Sahaj to price match. I'm not saying that he might meet the MFG price, but ;). The black ones look really nice :)

Well you can't go wrong with MFG really. And from the pictures they look nicely made. Competition is good. I just wish there was the interest in north america that europe, eastern europe, and russia has for people making sim stuff.

In fact I found the polished aluminium pretty. wonder if they are not better looking than black. Seems sahaj ones (alu) are not polished...

Sahaj has both. I'm not saying the MFG one is not as good, I have no experience with it. I certainly wanted the black version so that was a primary reason for ordering through Sahaj. Either way I'm sure will work as advertised.

The Sajah's aluminium one look like plain aluminium, according to the pictures, not polished ones ;)

And in fact I prefer the look of the MFG alu than Sahaj's black, but this is just my taste ^^

Your probably right. I wasn't interested in the aluminum finish so I didn't do that much research. Just saw a aluminum picture and passed by I guess.

Either way, I think you'll be happy and man does it help immensely with the stickion problem. I really only use the TM in its factory setting for a month before my extension arrived and I'd never go back.

I decided to bite the bullet and got myself the Warthog setup a couple of days ago and I'm loving it.

I'd done fine with my X52 but when I started the training missions for the A10C it became obvious I really needed the extra functionality.

Thus far I've still been mostly in the training flights but the solidity and precision of the stick just feels so much better.

A few test flights with the Gazelle have shown a marked improvement in control and stability. Really feel I'm flying this helo now.

The only thing is I've not yet found a really good position for the stick. On my desk is fine but it will be far too high if I get an extension but I don't yet have a way to mount it lower.

Maybe on the ground between your legs with a loooong extension? :) Beware though to not break the gimbals and so do not move the stick too hard.

Or you could maybe make yourself a piece of wood to put the warthog in front of you with an extension.

I'm flying in an obutto r3volution cockpit, so they are designed to put sticks in...

On a stand between my legs seems easiest and most realistic. I've been looking at speaker stands initially. They seem pretty sturdy. It'll just be a matter of finding one that's the right height.

Depends what it is for. On the ground with a long shaft is maybe the most realistic to fly helicopters ;)

For the stand get a stable one, one that will not drop on the side if you move the stick left or right...

You could also try something like that :

But this is not between your legs.

Also, some people make that themselves :

This is what I built. Cheap and functional. Don't use glue though, after a year of use it starts coming loose. Just use screws for the entire thing.

Too bad the max vertical adjustability is only 22 cms, with the height of the warthog will be hard to use it with a long extension (ie 15 cm or so ^^)

Thats where the PVC stuff is nice. Just cut it or put in a longer piece. Done.

I find any extension longer than 12cm and you need to spread your legs so wide to accommodate max deflection that keeping your feet on the pedals is tricky.

I had to accommodate the Warthog (w/ Milan's extension) and Komodo.

So I came up with this. Simple and effective. Scrap wood, some screws, and Cherry Wood stain.

I can quickly swap out the Komodo with warthog in about 30 seconds. Three bolts. A wooden stand raises the base of the TM and I added two of Milans (long and med, I think) extension. I'll probably paint it matte black to see what happens. I have one spare extension so I'll experiment.

And to make sure the rudder movement is unhindered, I added friction pads. Note the top is free of the friction pad so I can quickly pick it up with the cord at the bottom and slide it in and out as needed.
