asla36 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Hello! So once I got back from school I booted up DCS. I have facetracknoir and SRS. Once I logged entered the European TAW server. And it gave me the messedge that I need to have SRS. Now that was tipical. It would say that and then notice my SRS. Then I checked the radio overlay. It did not display the frequencies, only zeroes. But it did say that it was connected. And that 6 others were connected a well. I tried restarting SRS, then DCS, but nothing happened. I asked and some others were having problems as well. If anyone can help or give me a better place to post this it would be greatly appreciated.:helpsmilie: Thanks! -asla36 DCS: MiG-23 [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC] Make it happen, and take my money! :D
NeilWillis Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Were you in a cockpit with the radios powered up?
ST0RM Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 +1 on what Neil said. If you're cold starting, your radios arent powered up and SRS will not work. Just like the real aircraft.
asla36 Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 Have tried it, the radio comes on. It shows frequensies, and it makes the radio noise when you press PTT so I think they can hear you. But I have not been able to test that. People quit like I did at the beginning, right after they see it initially not working. It still kicks you. So for a little time I gotta find a new server. Thanks for the suggestion! DCS: MiG-23 [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC] Make it happen, and take my money! :D
ST0RM Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Another issue is that SRS doesnt retain your speaker setting. At least for me. Mine defaults back to Optical input, instead of what I use.

Thanks for the suggestion! So its working ok for you now? You can test the radio on OpenConflict or BuddySpike without being kicked. If you're hearing the PTT effect and seeing the overlay light up white, with a frequency other than 0 then you know that its all working ok and others can hear you. Remember to check your audio with the preview audio button to make sure you speakers and microphone are configured correctly. Another issue is that SRS doesnt retain your speaker setting. At least for me. Mine defaults back to Optical input, instead of what I use. From the latest 1.2.9.0 version that should no longer be the case. If you've definitely got the latest version, would you mind posting a bug report here detailing as much about your system as you can? https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/issues The speaker & microphone setting are only saved on a successful server connection, not when the boxes are changed or when preview audio is pressed.
