sjr1792 Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Ok so i'v been flying the mirage for a while and cant seem to out maneuver AIM-120's no matter what I do I always get hit which is very frustrating.. I'v looked to see if there are any tutorials for the Mirage for missile evasion and I cant seem to find any. I'm ready to just switch back to the F-15C because at least I can be useful with it, ha.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted December 4, 2016 ED Team Posted December 4, 2016 you posted in the wrong section of the forum, you may get a better response now I have moved it. I dont see a problem personally, and see many users evading when I am online. Just employ the same basic tactics you would in the f-15, I am sure you will get some more advice from other users soon Forum rules - DCS Crashing? myHelljumper Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Missile evasion in the mirage is possible and of course you can't outmaneuver a missile that can pull up to 15-20 G. Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA
CrashO Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 S turns work great in the Mirage. Try placing the missile at 90 degrees from you (use the RWR) en deploy chaff.
Azrayen Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 G alone doesn't mean that much. Must be correled with speed to give turn rate (which is what matters, here)
razo+r Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 Also, keep your eyes out of the cockpit for IR missiles And you should prepare yourselfe to run as soon as you have a 15 spike on the RWR
