jocko417 Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 Did this version have guns fitted? Just curious. Yes, the FR Mk.IXc (Fighter Recon) was a standard IXc with a single oblique camera mounted. By comparison, the PR Mk.IXc (Photo Recon) was a IXc with the guns removed to save weight and cameras carried in all three locations (one oblique, and two vertical). Skin above based on Spitfire MK915, which was FR Mk.IXc with 16 Sqn, RAF. Get up with the dawn, fly fly, snap snap, grin grin, nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more, then shoot up a train and home for tea and medals ;) The photo of the 16 Sqn RAF Spits based in France, above, is from one of my reference books, of note is the false texture on the hangar, disguising it as a domestic building.
MickeEinSweden Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Really beautiful cameraport. Aircraft downloaded. Many thanks :)
Weegie Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Thank You for sharing this skin Absolutely Terrific..............made my day
jocko417 Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Whoops! Was waiting for an upload confirmation email from ED and never got one, thought Russian new year was the culprit. DL links posted for both PRU schemes in respective threads... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2318009/ Cheers guys!
jocko417 Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Really beautiful cameraport. Aircraft downloaded. Many thanks :) I'll be updating the S.31 skin with the new camera ports soon, at least while we wait for the template.
CHSubZero Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 I'll be updating the S.31 skin with the new camera ports soon, at least while we wait for the template. I replaced the S.31 NM with your PRU Pink NM already on my machine :D Both skins are superb. Well done again  Aviation Livery - Explore Military Aircraft Liveries My Mods: DCS User Files
Art-J Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Nice skin, though If I may suggest something, too squeaky clean for my taste. Lack of exhaust stains is the first thing I noticed, while lack of any oil stains on the belly means it's either a non-flyable Spit, or one powered by magic :D. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
jocko417 Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 Must be magic, because the template remains invisible :)
