Ala12Rv-watermanpc Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Hi guys, Im trying to do some modding in the afterburner textures of the mig 29 but I need some help from you PS experts ;)...the problem is when I try to save the work, PS tells me there is an error, exactly this one: I have no idea what this means nor how to fix it because in fact, I never touched the file dimensions, just edited the one I opened and after the workd is done I click on "save" so, how is this possible??:huh: ...also, not sure exactly what format and settings (mipmaps, etc.) should I save it. Also, I would love if some one could explain to me why and what means that the 5 stages of the afterburner effect look repeatedin that weird way while doing smaller everytime to the right??: do I have to edit all those little iterations in order to make changes in the textures?? thanks guys!! The thing is that I understand that but what I cant understand is WHY I cant save the file without changing dimensions in any way??...I mean, if I open the file and directly go to save it I get this error :huh: ...I see the file is 512x2047, so I edited it to be 512x2048 and it saves no problem. Sadly, when I use the saved file in the game, the afterburners textures look odd because literally, I can see as afterburner the 5 levels of the texture file like in the screens flickering. I guess the reason for that is due to the new flickering/glowing effect they added so, I would like to understand this to be able to save and edit the AB correctly. Anyone knows why do the file looks like repeated in different sizes???is that related with the flickering effect?? damn, now this is a mess :cry: Take a look at my MODS here
SkateZilla Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Being Multiple is 4 is a DXT5 Restriction. The Actual File Size is 1024x512 You're resizing it and that's likely causing problems. And not, Im not resizing anything, as I said, this is the actual image dimensions after opening it...thats why I asked if its normal to see the texture repeated all those times to the right and at lower size every time...maybe its a problem with my PS CS6???:huh: Take a look at my MODS here
