Get stuck in loading screen...help

When i start dcs 1.5.5 stable, i get to the main menu, but whatever i click i get stuck in loading screen, no menu options work, have to force it to end through task manager, havent gotten to install any modules either. Game doesnt crash though, it just there doing nothing. Reinstalled the game twice. Im using the standalone version from dcs webpage. Havent tried to see if the steam version work.

Sounds like you haven't put in your username and password to login to the master server may haps, (Login button at top right black bar, at end of that in mid screen is login icon, is your ED Usename showing next to it ???), hard to tell from your description.

 

Also check that firewall isn't blocking it.

Thanks for the reply, ill check when i finish donloading for the third time, omg i hope your not right and that i missed something that obvious:doh:. Firewall was ok though when it happend

This happens with GPU drivers also. Try going back a ver. Ensure all Microsoft Redistributed Files are up to date. They range in age from 2005 to Current Ver. you will need all of them.

Sounds like you haven't put in your username and password to login to the master server may haps, (Login button at top right black bar, at end of that in mid screen is login icon, is your ED Usename showing next to it ???), hard to tell from your description.

 

Login button only shows up if I try to join multiplayer, and I can get it to login. My username is not diplayed anywhere, on the screen()login button is also invisible so It looks like im not logged in. Its realy strange, I had DCS over 5 years through endless changes of hardware and such and never had an issues, got this problem 3 months ago, but had others things to keep me busy so I didnt have time to look into it. Now that I really feel like simming again and have an itch too scratch, the damn thing doesnt work:(. Seems to be a few issues, that BIGNEWY might be able to explain better than me.

 

But I would check:

 

• Anti-virus your using, disable it whilst installing DCSW or add the DCSW games directory to the list of excluded directories not to scan for, as it may be stopping some components from installing properly.
  
• If re-installing DCSW from scratch, make sure you always right click on install program and choose "run as administrator:, as you should for any program install under windows 7,8,10.
  
• Delete your ..\DCS World\MissionEditor\ folder as it seems to be a source of problem.
  
• If your using any old plane config files, make a backup of them and delete the c:\Users\Borje\Saved Games\Dcs\Config\ folder.
  
• Looks like the TF-51 module might be missing or corrupt also.
  
• Make sure you also have Microsofts VC runtimes installed
  
• Run a DCSW repair to check and fix any all missing files or corruptions.
  
• Run DCS and try login again.

Tried all this, still the same issues. Im downloading the steam version now, too see if that works,,,, If that doesnt work, I have no idea what too do except reistall windows...:(:(:cry::cry:

if you have tried everything and still no joy go for a full delete of dcs and fresh install including saved games folder
