Hello,

Last time i saw a video on a SU-27 beating 3 F-15c, but something got my attention,

If you look closely to the MFD ( HDD ), you can see that the MFD is much smoother and better than mine in su-27 : http://www.mudspikeftp.com/lomac/AE103.jpg

Is it possible to change to the video's MFD which looks more beautiful ? If not, can you add this in the game if you removed it ?

-Thank you

Hello Svend, thank for your answer, but why the old one ? the old in dcs or IRL ?

It's possible to add this to dcs again ?

Old in DCS and doesnt real. Now is correct. And I think its impossible.

Would be really nice to get that picture translated that what all those say.

As the symbols still look to be different.

What I get by rough translation is:

1 and 2 are the numberics for assigned wingmen targets (so you can see what aircraft in group is capable engage on what targets) and the line length of the target shows its velocity.

3 is the group range?

4 is the radar scan angle (center, left/right etc)

5. The target that has been locked

6. the attacking target (launched missiled at you?)

7. Recommendation for the attacking targets / pairs?

8. ???

9 the speed rate of closure?

10. zone of possible missile launch

11. own group wingmen index numbers.

12. Own aircraft.

13. set radar scale.

But it was clear choice for Lock-On to do what it was, the computer display resolutions weren't so high (best ones really were 1280x1024, usually even less than that) so it was great way to make the HUD and MFD be readable and clear.

Now on UHD era it is just not required.

As near as I translate. Not perfect but:

1. The number assigned to the target (in this case) "6" with its altitude line and velocity vector being attacked by fighter "4" (number of the aircraft to which this target is assigned)

2. Number of the target "3" (in this case)

3. Flight range with remaining fuel. (This meaning has been consistent on the various HDD diagrams I've seen for various functions including NAV)

4. Radar azimuth coverage zone

5. The target, tracked by radar and identified (authenticated) as a target with НАСУ (Наземная Aвтоматическая Cистема Yправления -- (Ground-based Automated Control System-DATALINK?) (In the sim, the open triangle on the tail means that the target is both scanned by your radar and also datalinked from another radar.)

6. Number of the fighter (#1) attacking (this target)

7. Target "2", designated for attack

8. EDIT: Target numbers in rank order of the threat they pose (sourced from the Su-27 flight manual)

9. TAS (your aircraft)

10. Launch zone of your selected missile

11. Number assignment of fighter in your group "2"

12. Number assignment of your own fighter in your group "1"

13. HDD range scale
