Bearfoot Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 So, in RL, how does the pilot know that auto-hover is engaged? And if engaged, whether or not the heli is slaved and/or collective mode is on/off? As far as I can tell, there are no cockpit lamps, signal, or sign, and because the switches for these are not 2-state switches, they do not give any indication either. The only way I can tell in is with the control indictor (Ctrl-Enter) visible, which is great ... but, obviously, is not available to the physical version!
BaD CrC Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I think (TBC) the autohover was a feat that was added by polychop to make it easier for single crew to operate the weapon console without having to fly the aircraft at the same time. I don't believe there is actually an autohover in the gazelle irl. 1 https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
Rangi Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 That's what I understood as well. PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
Bearfoot Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Ah, ok. Thanks for clarifying. I wonder if Polychop would then be open to allowing a side-slip maneuver while in this mode? That is allow for left/right collective input (perhaps attenuated so that the first 20% is ignored, i.e. you have to have at least a 21% deflection for the input to be considered). Right now, I have to: unauto-hover, side-slip, and re-auto hover. No big deal, but it would be nice to skip to the unauto/re-auto step ...
myHelljumper Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 IRL the gaz have a auto hover just like in the game when you fly in multi crew. Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA
