Habu_69
P-51D manual states supercharger should normally be placed in the AUTO position. I have noticed, however, that the switch is usually by default in the LOW position in most all missions I have flown, including training missions. Moreover, when switch is toggled out of HIGH using a HOTAS assigned switch, the supercharger switch defaults back to LOW. I assume that if the switch is in LOW position, then the supercharger will not automatically kick into HIGH when it should ( though I have not tested this). Kang
I believe it is by design that the switch returns to 'low' after you set it to 'high'. It's supposed to be held in high if you need it. Setting it to 'auto' makes it switch to high automatically depending on altitude and air pressure.
Buzzles
It should be in auto and left in auto. Low mode explicitly locks it to low mode (manual, pg 75), so no, it won't go to high. High mode via the switch is for testing only, it won't stay in it. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
