As long as the AI can see through both trees and clouds, and probably rocks and bushes too, it doesn't matter.

.

 

Thats why AI and logic needs to be fixed first before 3D effects....

 

Also, randomly placed objects would be a complete mess for MP.

 

Randomly generated for mappers. So that they don't need to place every tree and rock by hand.

So everyone has same all, trees etc but realistically placed as at least to me, i don't care if one tree is really where sim say or is.

So map makers can just use a huge brushes to fill large areas with random terrain features.

I understand that, but the point isn't really if they can implement this exact engine, but rather something close to the same quality in the current engine.

 

 

I hope ED uses real clouds to model their clouds after, not any other games or engines. At the end of the day, it has to work best for what DCS requires. Most other engines and games dont have the same goals in mind.
