BuzzU Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I bought FC3 from the DCS web site this morning. I thought I was buying a download. I never found a download button anywhere. Did I buy a CD? I have the serial # if I could find a download. I received no response by email, but I might have screwed up on that. I haven't been on this sight for years and my profile had an old email address. I've changed it to my current email, but that isn't doing me any good if something was sent to my old email. Help! btw..I have DCS World installed. I have 1.5 installed and working, but just started to install 2.0. Should I? Buzz
riproren Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I'm not at home right now, but I believe if you open DCS and then open the Module icon at the top, you should see FC3 there available for download. You'll need your activation code. Alienware Area 51, Windows 10, I7-5820k, 6 cores 15mb Cache Overclocked to 3.8GGZ, 32GB Dual Channel DDR4 at 2133mhz, Dual Nvidia Titan X 12MB. 2TB 7200rpm sata 6gb/s,
John C Flett Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 As Riporen says the module downloads through DCS. On the main title page, where it says DCS World on the top left, the module manager is the first icon, looks like a 3x3 grid.
BuzzU Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Thanks, guys. D/L now. :) I D/L 2.0, but it wouldn't install all the way. I had some DLL missing, so i'll use 1.5. Buzz
Rudel_chw Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 ... I D/L 2.0, but it wouldn't install all the way. I had some DLL missing, so i'll use 1.5. The latest version of 2.0 requires a Microsoft runtime to be installed on your Windows, here is the link to get it: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53587 ... you also need to have purchased the Nevada terrain. BuzzU Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 Well, I bit the bullet and just ordered a TM Warthog. Now I need to decide if I want to fly the A10 or F15. Decisions. Buzz
