Ragequits Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Following problem: I just started looking into the editor and wanted to set up a mission where troops are picked up by a helicopter and disembarked at a different point. I set the infantry on their waypoint two to "embark to transport". I also let the Huey land nearby in the zone with the advanced waypoint action "embark". The problem is I can't set up a waypoint to disembark for troops (I saw at least one video where it was shown that you can set up one of the infantries waypoint as point to "disembark from transport") Consequently the helicopter lands and waits for troops to get into the chopper but the infantry just refuses to embark. Am I missing something here or is it broken at the moment?:(

Ragequits Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 In know that there are a lot of scripts but as I said I've just started so I want to keep things simple and as I currently do not have the slightest idea of scripting I want to use the basic features of the editor gives me. So in the research I did this was the best way I found to do what I want to do by just using advanced waypoint commands. As my sources are almost 3 years old my question remains whether there might be a mistake in my setup or things are bugged or just have changed.
sunski34 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 That doesn't work good actually. and there's a bug report on that. So, I think you have to use a script if you want to do embark/disembark. CTLD or ATME will be good depending of what you want to do. ATME has a dynamic troops boarding. CTLD has other abilities. 1

Wrecking Crew Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Last I played with this, it worked for Red but not for Blue. I think it was that Blue wouldn't embark. The binding to the transport is missing -- See Post# 3. Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms. Pikey Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Last time I tried this using raw ME tools for blue, it didn't work, the troops never boarded and I followed all the advice I could find, which was substantial and over a couple of years.
