I fly a SU25T with a SAM Patriot site as defence for blue. For some reason the SAM site is silent to the extent that I can overfly it - no radar warning whatsoever on the Beriosa. If so that is probably where I erred, but would'nt that mean that you could just "sneak" up behind a Patriot site if you know it's orientation and neutralize the site? Does'nt make a whole lotta sense if that's the case:huh: Yes. Looking at your image, you have the Patriot site oriented north. You are coming in from the west. So it's not seeing you. It's phased array antenna can only see forward. I've forgotten what the exact field of view is. So that's your problem. It might seem silly at first glance but keep in mind that the Patriot system is a theater defense weapon. It is normally deployed far enough to the rear that someone doing an end run to kill it is not a serious concern.
