ex81 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Hi, I would like to use the JTAC coordinates (GGxxxxxx) to set a new waypoint using the CDU. Does anybody know of a good tutorial on YouTube ? Or maybe one of the experts likes typing and is willing to publish a helpful reply here:helpsmilie: What goes up, must come down ! al531246 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) The easiest way to do it is drop a random mark point on the map (Lctrl + Left arrow key IIRC). Then switch to Mark point mode on the CDU and go to edit current selected steerpoint - it will be the mark point you just created. Edit this markpoint with the co-ordinates your JTAC gives you. EDIT; the main man Bunyap has done a video doing exactly what you've asked - Edited March 15, 2017 by al531246 Bunyap vid Intel i5-8600k | EVGA RTX 3070 | Windows 10 | 32GB RAM @3600 MHz | 500 GB Samsung 850 SSD

apolloace Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) Steps I am listing the steps in the videos. Hope this helps and is not too complicated. Make sure the STEERPOINT / WAYPOINT Page is selected in the CDU. 1> Press the 3rd button from top on right-side "?<num>" to create a new steerpoint. 2> Enter new steerpoint name in the scratchpad. 3> Press top button right-side "name[]" to enter steerpoint name in CDU. 4> Press 4th button from top on right-side "L/L" to switch to "UTM". (If required to switch between 38T or 37T) Enter 38T or 37T in the scratchpad. Press 3rd button from top on left-side to switch between 38T or 37T. 5> Enter UTM co-ordinates in the scratchpad. 6> Press 4th button from top on left-side to enter the UTM co-ordinates in CDU. 7> Turn the Steerpoint knob(just below the CDU) to Mission. 8> Select the new steerpoint from the Steerpoint Rocker on the left-side below the HUD. Now you can slave all your sensors to the new Steerpoint. :) Edited March 16, 2017 by apolloace 1 Rig - I7-9700K/GIGABYTE Z390D/RTX-2080 SUPER/32-GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE RAM/1-TB SSD Mods - A10C / F18C / AV8B / Mig21 / Su33 / SC / F14B
