formation lights, how they are turned on?

I believe the greenish light below the pilot is part of the formation lights...how are these turned on/off?

 

 

I have commands for my anti-collision lights and navigation lights and gear lights.

Thanks razo+r. I'm coming back to the F-15 after a long absence and have been doing lots of re-reading.

On the top left of the VSD when a plane is locked, it shows the plane's speed 397, aspect 11R and heading 336. What does the 11 indicate,... I understand the plane is travelling from left to right but does the 11 indicate 11 degrees off a true perpendicular to me [79 degrees]?

11R means 110 degrees right angle off tail. 17L would mean 170 degrees left off of his tail, for example.

 

Where is that 79 number coming from, btw? The only indication with 79 in the picture is the closure (+879 knots).

I see the confusion you made with 11deg from 90 equalling 79deg. But as Sweeper says 11 means 110deg, which would put him 20deg off a true perpendicular to you. If the bandit was flying directly away from you the 11 would be 0 and if he was flying directly at you it would read 18 (180deg).

Thanks for that info...the 79 was me thinking 11 represented the target plane being 11 degrees off the perpendicular to my flight path [90 degrees - 11 degrees = 79]
