Unable to login

I do not know what has happened. Both my 1.5.6 and 2.0.6 versions no longer permit me to login once I am at the splash page. I see my username there, enter my password, hit Enter and nothing. If I click on the arrow...nothing.

If I ignore the login and attempt to just start up the Mission Editor...doesn't do anything. Nothing works! :huh:

I have not made any changes.

 

Yes, I have tried to do the cleanup/repair...does not work.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggestion open a support ticket if it is not log you in

One of the MOD's here will help you soon StrayWolf, make sure your antivirus software and or firewall is not blocking DCS.

 

The guys here will probably need your log files so they can help.

How to attach logs to posts

 

Are you running any mod files on the DCS installation?

 

Double check your entering your correct (ED module account, user name) and password.

as the guys have mentioned, try the basic stuff first

 

rename your saved games dcs folder ( keep it as a backup)

 

restart dcs and try a fresh one ( you can move your input folder to the new one if it works )

 

check caps lock :)

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Its the early AM here so I won't be able to touch DCS proper until the evening.

I will try some of the additional stuff recommended as soon as I can but checking my account would be cool. Would it matter by any chance that I am using a VPN connection? Maybe the IP address is blacklisted by ED?

Bignewy - yeah, I was going to try and rename the saved game folder and see if that did the trick when I restarted DCS.

Also, NO MODS in use. The ONLY thing that I have done - and was working for over 2 weeks with no problems - was self-modify the labels.lua file. That is pretty much it.

The other thing to mention - I was using CH Controllers...config was still there, but a very good friend got me the Warthog HOTAS (long story, but a surprise gift) so I had just connected them and cranked up DCS for the first time with them connected in order to test them out under A-10C. Could that have messed up my install?

 

Will touch base this evening with further info.

I do not think the change of controller would effect DCS in this way

 

attach your dcs logs and I will look for clues.

Renaming the Saved Game folder worked for both DCS 1.5.6 and 2.0.6

I have no idea why they both stopped working and the only thing that I can recall modifying was some graphic setting (I think). Other than that...they were both working perfectly fine.

Side note...the TM Warthog HOTAS is aaaammmaazing!
