Ratcatcher Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 (edited) Hey all, Been recently playing with the Gazelle a lot and trying my best to understand it all. So far I am having trouble engaging a moving target with the TOW's. Having read the guides I have tried selecting ASS ( Asservi ) to lock the target but it doesn't seem to do anthing??? Is it me or is this feature not working, any guidance would be greatly appreciated! myHelljumper Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 The gazelle is using HOT 3 missiles, not TOW ;). There is no "lock" with the viviane sight, the ASS mode lock the camera in the default forward locking position. In order to engage a moving target you have to move the crosshair with the vehicle to guide the missile. Gee, now Im sure my crew chief said they had loaded TOW's, you just can't get the staff these days! Thanks for the explanation, I can hit OK using them but the manual made it sound as if it tracked automatically, anyhow, thanks again! Techlabs Chameleon Watercooled Gaming PC - Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.7GHz : Samsung 950 Pro 256GB SSD, Samsung 500 gig SSD, Seagate 1TB 7200RPM Drive : MSI GeForce GTX 1080 "Founders Edition" 8192MB : 800W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply : 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz : Occulus Rift S : TM Warthog : MFG Crosswind V2 : Win 10 64. However I was having an issue that it was either tracking too fast or too slow.

NeilWillis Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Strictly speaking TOW refers to the BGM71 system, but in fact the acronym "TOW" just means Tube launched Opical Wire guided, so in fact, HOT 3 is also a TOW weapon. It just has Haut Subsonique Optiquemont TeleGuide Tire d'Un Tube (High Subsonic Optical Remote Guided Tube Launched) as it's tortuous acronym - HSOTGTUN or HSORGTL is a bit hard to say!
