Well at least it's on their to do list, that's an improvement on anyone else. Lets face it only us Brits are likely to buy it. There was one on the airshow circuit in the States many years ago, and it generated little interest, as on one had heard of it, the fact that it was faster uphill than anything they had was totally lost on them. Hopefully as it's less technical than the modern aircraft it may not take too long to get working once they get to it.

Same with the Jaguar and Buccaneer, They wont sell enough copies to make it financially doable..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I dont think anyone has every had a lightning on the airshow circuit outside Thunder City in SA. There is a project to restore one to airworthiness in the USA but thats it. I dont see why it wouldn't sell well, If they can sell the C101 and Viggen which are both pretty obscure then i dont see why a jag, buccaneer of lightning couldn't sell

I highly doubt ground pounders would buy it - even if the Mk56 was built, it only has rockets and it isn't exactly suited to A/G, and it wasn't built for it.

So you would get two ancient missiles and guns.

Seeing the way people react to many suggestions and requests, I doubt they would be interested in this unless they had a particular interest in the Lightning (though I would buy one, but not from the devs mentioned - once bitten twice shy and all that) .

A Jaguar or Buccaneer would make more sense, but again - depends who is making it.

Rig: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS; Ryzen 7800X3D ; 64GB DDR5 5600; RTX 4080; VPC T50 CM2 HOTAS;

Pimax Crystal Light

I'm learning to fly - but I ain't got wings

With my head in VR - it's the next best thing!

The Lightning was purely an interceptor, it would be great to fly against high flying targets, used to spend many hours up at RAF Binbrook crash gate 3 watching them

No, it is about build quality (or lack of it) not the airframe. Just look at the Viggen, quite unknown airframe but a great high quality module.

This is very true. Also I'd buy a Jag or Lightning from Heatblur (or Magnitude 3) in a heartbeat. (Mostly the Jag.) I have to say VEAO is still too much of an unknown quantity, they'll need to produce some quality jet aircraft before I'd move on one of their offerings as quickly.
