Not sure if you're looking for explanations for what each warn light means..but:

Also remember that in our version (FC3 simulation) that some of the warn lights are used more for indicators than what they are used for IRL. For example in DCS F-15 when you engage auto pilot the AUTO PLT lights on the warn panel as an indication that auto pilot is engaged. IRL the AUTO PLT warn light would indicate a problem with the system - same for the ATTITUDE warn light.

AFAIK only AUTO PLT and ATTITUDE are used on the DCS F-15C warn panel as indicators.

When AP is used (A then L-ALT + 1) the AUTO PLT warn light is lighted. Then, if BARO HOLD AP is selected (L-ALT + 4) the ATTITUDE warn light will light along with the AUTO PLT warn light.

This is somewhat confusing as the L-ALT+1 command is for Attitude hold.

Interesting...I use 'A' for Attitude Hold [Auto Pilot light] and 'H' for Barometric Hold [Attitude light]. 'A' must be on in order to enable 'H'. IvanK's link is saying what I'm saying but using different key commands.

Hook? The F-15C had a tail hook at some point? Was a navalised version being considered?

The eagle has a tail hook for arrestment in emergency landings. It's not functional in DCS. I'm not sure but it may have an animation argument if you check in model viewer.

The arresting hook is also how we attach the holdback tool to keep restrain the jet when doing burner runs.

F-16's and F-22's have hooks too so it's not just a naval thing

It works in the MV..

Maybe one day IF ED make Emergency Arrested stuff for runways then IT might be activated and used... until then there is no use for it.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

That makes sense, thanks for the info.
