dburne Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Are you sure the performance itself is terrible and not just the stated fps? I get very low fps according to the fps counter but it runs fine and must be hitting the 45 target, as its very obvious if you fall below (judder etc). Point is turn the fps counter off and judge it for yourself as I honestly dont think the fps counters in DCS/VR are very reliable for some reason. Mine will drop into the 30's at times low over the landscape, and I definitely see stutters when it does. VirusAM Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 (edited) 2.1: (Much) better FPS in both NTTR and Normandy Are you sure the performance itself is terrible and not just the stated fps? I can feel stutters under 45 but it is not bad as i thought, probably thanks to ASW or whatever it is Edited June 15, 2017 by VirusAM R7-5800X3D 64GB RTX-4090 LG-38GN950 N/A Realsimulator FFSB MKII Ultra+F-16 grip+F/A-18 grip, VKB Stecs Max, VKB T-Rudder MKV, Razer Tartarus V2 Secrets Lab Tytan, Monstertech ChairMounts
VirusAM Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Anyway any advice on where could lie the slowdown? I tried il2 bos in vr and there i have amazing graphics and performance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro R7-5800X3D 64GB RTX-4090 LG-38GN950 N/A Realsimulator FFSB MKII Ultra+F-16 grip+F/A-18 grip, VKB Stecs Max, VKB T-Rudder MKV, Razer Tartarus V2 Secrets Lab Tytan, Monstertech ChairMounts
blkspade Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I still did not understand if the limit is the cpu or gpu is there an easy way to understand it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro It's a bit of a joint limitation. For instance using mirrors roughly doubles the object count as far as the built-in stats indicate, which will result in more CPU overhead. This does mean more is ultimately being rendered at the same time, which hits the GPU. VR is more GPU dependent as the scene is now being rendered twice, with slightly different data for each eye. http://104thphoenix.com/
