At last I got my own x52. I've been working on my profile for 3 days now. Didn't expect it will be so difficult and bring so many problems...

I would like to set on throttle ministick for a scope movement. How to do this? I know that ministick can copy the mouse movement but if I set the scope on mouse in LockOn directly I can only move it by a mouse - not ministick.

There is a possibility to change ministick on AXIS (can't see them in FC after all) or BANDS but I don't get it how I should set up this.

Also what's better: set Pinkie as a Shift button in profiler or set it to command button and assign as a "Shift" on keyboards?

Anyone could help me with these questions, please?

My experience at this issue is that when i change the key commands in lockon with his own editor and use also a custom saitek-profil, I quickly lost the overview and other commands that worked fine could easyly be messed up.

I follow the simple rule to leave all by its default and changing only things in the saitek profileditor.

(Tip!: open lockon in windowed-mode and also the saitek profile editor at one time, so you can easy switch between them and check your Profile instantly. That saved me plenty of time!)

I think you could only configure it in the Saitek profile editor by setting the wished movement range to a key command (so it works with my X45).

So need to set as a bands in x52 profiler. But how to set the deadzones. On ministick X/Y axis from 0-10% and then 50-60% on each or from 40%-50% and then 50%-60%?

Set your dead-zone on both the X and Y axis at 47% - 53% (3 bands:0-47%; 47-53%; 53-100%). I have mini-stick mapped as the target designator as afore-said with no hassle.

Also map the Pinkie switch as Shift in Profile Editor. Effectively doubles your programmable options. Can help you with a SU25T Profile if you're interested.

Whoa fellas... there's no reason to use banding for scope movement, by which I think you mean TDC slew.

Just go in game to Mouse (then Axis switch)>> TDC slew (horizontal, vertical) >>> set the top one to Axis 0 and bottom one to Axis 1 ... This will allow you to slew TDC and Shkval. The only thing I do with the mini-mouse in the profile editor is change sensitivity.

Are you sure you allowed SST to install all 4 drivers during the first installation?

Works really well... Shkval and TDC move quikley to where they're needed.

Also, I like the pinkie as "shift"

Keep working on your profile... don't borrow anyone elses...it will be much better for you

Don't know for sure. Must check or better install from the beginning.

Yup! I realize that. I've seen some of others profiles. Don't fit to my style.

I found out that the most important functions is better to repeat in every mode. I'd like to copy real Su-27 or MiG-29 HOTAS. Russians paid a lot of effort, time and money set this properly.

heh

this ministick - if u want to use it as TDS - u can assigne under DEVICE MOUSE in lockon input...not keyboard not joystick--MOUSE

then u are able to assign the TDS axes directly as TDS in lockon

After that if u want to change the speed of ur TDS (a-10 or 27 doesnt matter) just go in ur SST profile and change the sensibility sliders for ministick-axis.

Axes like this u assign in lockon self....keystrokes relating on keyboard layout in ur profile

that s it

I don't think this option is available in v1.02. No option for using rotaries to control pitch either. It did become available again in v1.1

I tried that already but my ministick didn't work with TDC - pc mouse did. Don't know what's wrong. In control device panel everything looked good... I must check drivers.

Besides! It's not realistic :) but if You set TDC on mouse (not ministick) you can better, faster about 1 sec choose proper boogey when big TIGHT traffic is seen on radar. It can be done so easy like moving windows' arrow. But you need to take off hands from throttle or stick... So it's not effective in close combat with multiply threads thats why I need it on ministick also as an alternative (or mouse as an alternative - this is proper order) . Just a thought :P maybe a little bit silly....

THX to all 4 answers! I know where to look now. I really appreciate.

I know, I know man :). But I remeber I had problems during installations of Saitek's drivers - some prog (I can't remember was that the WinAmp I was listening to) had hung. I needed to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to shut the prog.

Something could go wrong but hadn't any error message. "Installation completed" that's all. You know how it is?

:)

EDIT:

Reinstalled worked out

Everything ok now!
