Yskonyn Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Hi guys, I was wondering if someone knows a few URL's with good reads on tactics used by Airforces. Basic Fighter Maneuvers but also Air to Ground tactics, Anti-AAA or SAM, etc. I am currently focussing on the A-10, so any good (practical) reads about this a/c are welcome! VMFA117_Poko Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Look on the top of this site - "FLANKERTRAINING.com" banner. You'll find there a lot of stuff not only for Flanker drivers.
golfsierra2 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 "Robert L. Shaw - The Art of Air-to-Air Combat" You can find it in the DL section "Dokumente" here at our homepage http://www.vjs-161.de/ kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]

enigma6584 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Also, go to the Fighter Tactics Academy. There is a lot of interesting information there. http://www.saunalahti.fi/~fta/index.htm
MBot Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Hog Basics: RAF Bentwaters Tactics Guide I highly recomend that article. It is a real great insight how the A-10 was ment to be operated in a high-treat envoirment. Unfortunatly it will only be of limited use in LOMAC as many key aspects of mud moving are missing ( air defense reaction times, surprise effect, team work etc. ).
andyfoot Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Cheers golfsierra2, I've been looking for the download version of Robert Shaw's "The Art of Air-to-Air Combat" for quite some time. This is a truly great find and anyone else here should pay a visit, it's like the holy bible of Fighter Tactics for those who've never heard of it before. Merry Christmas Regards Andy Foot
