DCS World 2.5.0 Update

 

Yes, we are still on track to release by the end of this month! Last week we created a test version of the DCS World 2.5.0 branch and we and our testers are hammering away on it. DCS World 2.5.0 will be released as an update to the Open Beta on 31 January 2018, and the 2.5.0 Open Beta installer will be available the next day. We are staggering these to avoid overloading our file servers.

 

The 2.5.0 “Release” version will launch a week or two later, depending on how the Open Beta release goes.

 

 

The Steam version will come a week after the 2.5.0 Release version is launched.

In parallel, we are also preparing the final update for DCS World 1.5.8. This will continue 1.5.8’s availability, but it will be unsupported following the release of DCS World 2.5.

Ciao a tutti, io ho la versione 1.5.8.12823.414 con installato il modulo Combined Arms, non ho ben capito come e cosa dovrò fare per quando verra rilasciata la mappa caucaso per la 2.5. Si aggiornerà automaticamente, oppure dovrò installare da me scaricando un installer separato e quindi da avere la 1.5.8 più la 2.5? E per il modulo Combined Arms dovrà essere rinserito sulla 2.5 segandosi da qualche parte il key di attivazione?

La 2.5 dovrai scaricarla te manualmente, CA dovrebbe trasferirsi automaticamente quando fai il login, avere la 1.5 installata velocizza il processo. Dopo aver appurato che sulla 2.5 hai tutto quello che avevi prima sei libero di disinstallare la 1.5.8.

Va bene, ma si parlava di una 1.5.8 Open Beta ma anche di una 2.5 Open Beta e di una Open Alfa. per quello che sono in confusione sul da farsi. Per quando mi riguarda la mia 1.5.8 diventera una 1.5.8 Open Beta quando scaricherò la 2.5 (Open Alfa o Open Beta?) con la nuova versione del Caucaso (free) che uscirà il 31 c.m. lui prenderà le mie impostazioni dalla cartella "Partite Salvate" così me le ritrovo sulla 2.5, corretto?

Premettendo che dovrai scaricare sempre tu manualmente, la 2.5 Open Beta si aggiornerà dalla 1.5.8 Open Beta. Quet'ultima la devi scaricare/aggiornare tu dalla versione 1.5.8 stable attuale.

Open alpha non ne esisteranno più. Se invece vuoi aspettare 1-2 settimane dal rilascio della 2.5 Open Beta per avere direttamente la 2.5 stabile puoi rimanere così, farai l'upgrade della 1.5.8 stabile alla 2.5 stabile. Per CA come hanno scritto l'attivazione dovrebbe prenderla dal registro di windows quindi rimanere.

La 2.5 (beta) la installerò clickando l' updater della 1.5.8 beta...giusto? Questo però andrà a ciucciare parte dei files dalla 2.2 alpha...giusto?

Mi è parso di capire inoltre, che è consigliato installare la 2.5 su una SSD. Io però ho i miei DCS istallati in D che è un normale HD.

Ho testè liberato 150 gighi da C (SSD) e avrei intenzione di installare la 2.5 li. Ma come faccio se la 1.5.8 è dall' altra parte? Devo disinstallare e reinstallare?(grande menata!). Per fare questa operazione devo disattivare e riattivare i moduli? (menata colossale !)

Si purtroppo si consiglia un SSD per giochi esigenti come DCS. Se ricordo bene il 31 la 1.5 beta si aggiornerà a 2.5 beta (ciucciando dalla 2.2), il giorno dopo uscirà l'installer per una installazione exnovo. In passato ho cambiato la cartella di dcs world facendo taglia e incolla, senza problemi di riattivazione facendo magari solo un repair. Però non sono sicuro è passato troppo tempo.

Ho spostato il gioco da un SSD ad un altro, facendo poi ripara. Funziona tutto perfettamente.

Quando fai l'upgrade credo che controlli in automatico dove si trova l'altra versione per prendere i dati (moduli,mappe,ecc), anche perché salva sempre sullo stesso percorso la configurazione "C:\utenti\Tbear\partite salvate\dcsopenbeta"

The Open Beta version of Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) 2.5 is a free-to-play digital battlefield game. The “release” version will be available shortly after Open Beta testing is complete. The Open Beta is an optional version of DCS World that we use to first test new content and technologies before moving them to our release version.
