The_Nephilim Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Hey Guys, I am having issues with the Viggen Radar, I am not getting any returns here is a pic of my Radar in the Beachead mission at 1.8M.. QuiGon Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 (edited) Seems like you haven't adjusted your radar brightness ;) There is a knob (LJUS RADAR on the left panel), which I have mapped on my Warthog HOTAS slider to adjust brightness, because in the default setting you can't see anything, so you have to adjust the brightness (make it darker) everytime. Edit: Forget what I said about brightness. What I meant was radar gain (thx @-IRRE-Rolluptito). That's what I mapped on my HOTAS slider, not brightness  Try changing the gain and you should see stuff on your radar ;) Edited July 4, 2017 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
-IRRE-Rolluptito Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 (edited) The brightness seems OK. It can come from the radar gain dial. (MKR potentiometer?) Did you assign radar gain to an axis? Are you in mode A1 (and not in A0 and PASSIVE MODE)? Maybe check your antenna elevation too (maybe too high...) and that you're not in Terrain avoidance mode. The_Nephilim Posted July 5, 2017 Author Posted July 5, 2017 Hey Guys, turns out it was the radar Gain.. Problem was I did not know that was programmed on my HOTAS with TARGET. I turned it down and I was able to get the Radar to work properly.. Thank you all..
