GazAce Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Hey good wingmen, I'm trying find in my files any individual missions from the Campaigns I've completed besides Georgian Hammer, Like Piercing Fury, Stone Shield and Enemy Within. It seems they're gone AWOL, I mean I've looked everywhere.. under my bed, up in that old cupboard no one goes near, drawers, shelves blah blah etc and all I managed to find was Georgian Hammer missions, a heap of single socks and a bunch of old keys. Please any help would be much appreciated or maybe they're not meant to be flown separately? I'm sure hoping not. :helpsmilie: GazAce's "Skynet Rig" :: :: 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K :: Asus ROG Strix Z790-A Mobo :: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 MSI Gaming Slim GPU 24GB :: NZXT Kraken Elite 280 RGB AIO White Cooler :: G Skill Trident Z Royals DDR4 4x16GB = 64GB :: WD Black SN 850X NVMe SSD 2TB M.2 (C Drive) :: Samsung 860 Pro 2TB SATA (D Drive) & a couple of other Drives adding another 1.5 TB :: Corsair Crystal 680X White Case :: Asus XG349C 34" Curve G-Sync 180Hz 3440x1440 Monitor :: MSI 1000 Watt PSU PCIE5 :: Virpil Constellation Alpha-R Stick with VPC WarBRD Base :: Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle :: 3 x CubeSim ext mini screens with TM Cougar MFD Bezels :: Asus ROG Pugio 503 Gaming Mouse & Razer BlackWidow mech kb :: TrackIR 5 Pro & Cap Clip :: Win 11 64 Bit
kylekatarn720 Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 (edited) They should be inside something like this, game directory/mod/campaign/missions , but ill take another look after i wake up properly. If you are trying to edit them, they are most likely scripted. Im sure about the opf dunno about the rest. Edit su25t campaigns missions to play them with the a10 it is quite fun IMO. I did eventually find them but I'm kinda stuck here cause my BitTorrent seems to take a liking to these files and I'm not sure what to do about it. I use BT for downloading films. When I try to run these individual missions the Bit Torrent option box pops up and well obviously I can't run them using that so I'm kinda stuck. Any suggestions? Oh and when I try to open them with DCS World set up from that box you see, well it asks me to install DSC World.. so I'm a tad confused and just needing a bit of guidance as to why and how to get rid of this BT thingy and also when I try to install MODS the same thing happens, I get Bit Torrent prompts, anyway sorry if I'm in the wrong dept here. Any suggestions? DCS is not like Excel .. you cant just open the mission files from within Windows' File Explorer. You have to first start DCS and then on DCS' Menu you select Mission to run a single Mission or Mission Editor to modify the Mission. kylekatarn720 Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 (edited) Well, you can change the default startup program for that kind of file, through its properties menu. But thats not the way to play that mission. Open up dcs, click on the "mission" from the main menu. after that choose something from the list on the left (anything except "my missions"), then browse through the files on the right side. Or just watch this, i recorded how to do it. Edited July 8, 2017 by kylekatarn720
GazAce Posted July 8, 2017 Author Posted July 8, 2017 Thanks kindly fellas, I found that I wasn't clicking ahead far enough on that folder above until it took me to a list with MODS in it, then I select MODS and from there Campaigns. I was choosing Campaign too early which took me to the Georgian Hammer missions but now I found what I want thanks to both your help. And at least that's undeflated me as I just flew over 2 hrs in PF Op juggernaut #12, no labels from go to woe, over 40 tgts, all wingmen bingo fuel and I had just enough for a rtb, 2 tgts remaining and only my guns left but boomed into the earth strafing too low, oh well thems the breaks, 02:00 am est, tomorrows another day GazAce's "Skynet Rig" :: :: 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K :: Asus ROG Strix Z790-A Mobo :: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 MSI Gaming Slim GPU 24GB :: NZXT Kraken Elite 280 RGB AIO White Cooler :: G Skill Trident Z Royals DDR4 4x16GB = 64GB :: WD Black SN 850X NVMe SSD 2TB M.2 (C Drive) :: Samsung 860 Pro 2TB SATA (D Drive) & a couple of other Drives adding another 1.5 TB :: Corsair Crystal 680X White Case :: Asus XG349C 34" Curve G-Sync 180Hz 3440x1440 Monitor :: MSI 1000 Watt PSU PCIE5 :: Virpil Constellation Alpha-R Stick with VPC WarBRD Base :: Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle :: 3 x CubeSim ext mini screens with TM Cougar MFD Bezels :: Asus ROG Pugio 503 Gaming Mouse & Razer BlackWidow mech kb :: TrackIR 5 Pro & Cap Clip :: Win 11 64 Bit
