I have a problem in that both the X and Y axes no longer centered. All was fine the last time I used the stick. But this morning, in the Saitek X52 Stick Properties window, the X-axis is shifted left and the Y is shifted right. And obviously the stick is completely out of whack in the sim (which is what prompted me to look. The Saitek Properties box seems set up to test the axes but not to "recenter" them. Am I just blind? Or isn't there a way to recenter the two axes? EDIT:: Just moving the stick around the periphery of the test boxes doesn't do anything to recenter. ::EDIT END

BTW, rebooting the computer and unplugging and replugging the stick have made no difference.

It happened to me also but, unplugging and replugging the device solved it.

Try changing the USB port... it might detect it again and you might need reinstall drivers again.

Also make shure you are using one of the first USB ports... the ones near Keyboard and Mouse PS/2s, those are goo powerd normaly and they dont give problems to USB devices that consumes a lot of power.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I've tried your various suggestions on my own since posting and the problem persists....

Ding! Just had a thought. Wait one.

OK. Problem solved. It was the cable connecting the stick to the throttle. I unplugged that at both ends and plugged it back in. Everything is perfect again. Why would they use a soft connection like that rather than hardwiring the two together? Anyway, that was the source of the problem. I had tested to see if both ends of the cable were fully seated and everything seemed OK. But I never actually unplugged it completely until just now. Thanks again for the help.

Well the reason they let you disconnect the wires between the throttle and joy is so that you can disconnect them when storing them away. It also makes it easier to reposition them and then plugging in the connection.

I also found most calibration problems can be solved just by unplugging and plugging in the connection between throttle and joy. For me, I consistently have the joystick have a slight left twist input. Whenever I plug it in, I twist the joystick slightly to the right and then plug it in. This usually eliminates the problem.
