Tyrant07 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Any word on when we will get the heatblur english cockpit? with the lastest update it makes the english cockpit mod unusable.
Devrim Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 I contacted with Cobra about the issue, but no response yet. I wrote how to run the mod against the I.C. in the mod's thread. And, of course an official En cockpit would be nice. j-tk Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 The English cockpit would make thus even more enjoyable. I wish for foreign planes they would be released with various cockpits, IE home country, English, Russian, and maybe Spanish or chinese, trying to think of world's most spoken languages for smallest work investment.
probad Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 or for a little of your investment, you could learn a few words of a different language.
-IRRE-Rolluptito Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 I agree, but it's not an easy thing for everybody. Plus it already takes a lot of time to master the planes and their systems, and a lot of us work full time job, and cannot learn four new languages. I want to see everybody around me fly this plane because it is awesome, but that means to have a good/functional english cockpit. :) @Devrim, I made a checklist based on your english cockpit. I'll publish it soon. ;) Owned modules: P-47 | P-51D | Spitfire MkIX | I-16 | Bf 109 K-4 | Fw190 D-9 | Fw190 A-8 | Yak-52 | MiG-15 | F-86F | C-101 | A-10C | AJS-37 | L-39 | F-5E | Mirage F1 | M-2000C | MiG-21bis | F-4E | F-14 | AV-8B | F/A-18C | F-16C | Ka-50 | SA342 | UH-1H | Mi-8MTV2. renhanxue Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Since I'm so awesome, I'll just take this opportunity to quote myself from a previous discussion on the same topic: I have a hard time thinking of a more obscure and practically useless skill to learn than early 1970's military aviation jargon, long out of use, in a language spoken by less than 0.15% of the world's population, where said jargon is also highly specific to a long retired aircraft of which less than 150 airframes were ever built, and only one of which remains flying today. Which of course means that yes you should learn it you numbnut, what are you waiting for? Do you even realize what kind of stupidly exclusive club doing that puts you in? The only people who ever had any reason to learn this stuff were the pilots, and there really weren't very many of those. We're talking about maybe a couple thousand people, tops. It's the best combination of hipster and nerd cred you'll ever come across!
lemoen Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 You don't have to understand the actual word either, you just need to learn to recognise the switches and their uses. Slightly tricky in the beginning but, like the Mig21 / Ka50 / M2000 after a while you just remember what they do and you don't need to read the labels anymore.
