I fixed my bugs, but the Gazelle problem remains.
Even with a simple DCS mission, I can't get them to engage targets....

It's not just a Gazelle problem, all AI helicopters fail to attack designated targets. Maybe it's a dcs bug introduced in one of the patches.

These are from Eagle's old campaign, which is not too active here anymore.

And this is the NEVADA map, which I don't own.

So, try to open the Init\base_mission.miz, move a little something on the map and save it again.

Try to generate the first mission.

If it doesn't work,:
in the Path.bat file, change this
set "versionPackageICM=20.38.01_S-AW"
to this
set "versionPackageICM=NG"

And try again.

Hello,

I am slowly finalizing my PVP/PVE helicopter campaign in Syria. There are just some cosmetics left. Is it possible to add a custom sound to the mission? I would like to have some ambient music every time I perform a cold start in the mission. 

 

Below some pictures of the available targets. There will be around 13 targets for each side to attack.

so, yes, it is possible
but if I tell you how to add a sound to the .miz file (because there's no plan to make it easy...), will you then know how to use or play that music?

Because right now I don't have the time to look it up and explain it.

You know, like 5 months ago I had no idea what .LUA scripting is. 😄 The more I learn about DCE the more fascinating it appears. I tried attaching the .ogg sound sample to the base_mission file but quickly realised it won't work that way as it is only used as a template for the units. Then I discovered the Mission Scripts folder in the ScriptsMod.NG with all the scrips like MIST, CTLD which are copied into the OPS_ALEPPO_first.miz when I create the first mission in the campaign. So... I need to find a way to include my own script and .ogg sound in the mission but I've run out of ideas how to do it. 😄 Once the sound file is in the mission itself, it shouldn't be that hard to play it on mission start via script (using mist) I suppose?

Static, as I don't want to complicate the campaign too much while learning the DCE environment. Is it possible to fill the briefing with pictures of different tasks in a situation when I choose more than one helicoper per side? Let me be more specific here. When I choose one helicoper/task for RED and BLUE coalition, they both get briefing pictures for their tasks. When I choose 2 helicopters/different tasks for RED and BLUE coalition, there is only one picture with task available in briefing. Is it a DCS fault or am I doing sth wrong? 

Attached you can see an old map with some of the targets for each coalition. I've already added more.

I made some tests and I can confirm that in MP game only one target picture can be seen in briefing which is a DCE bug 😞 It seems thjat all the different briefings are visible but only the main aircraft campaign picture is displayed ... we will have to take a look at this (hum... Miguel21 mainly 😉 ).

I'm not sure blue and red brieifing are working very well because we never played PvP  with DCE so we will have to test it ... or YOU can tell us if it works as it should 😋?

Thank you, no rush. In the meantime I'm in the process of creating another PVP campaign. This time coldwar like, set in Syria. 

And yes, I have faced another issue and I need your support to handle it. Is there a way to filter out particular units in the prune script ? I need a number of JTAC units to remain on the map all the time. In the conf_mod I can find the follwing line:

try adding: "DontPrune" in the name of your JTAC, it might work

Otherwise disable PruneScript ^^

The file in question, written by Tomsk, is DC_Prune.lua

Hey there,

I cant get the mission results after ending a mission. There is no pop up dos window or anything else. In DCS I can go to the next mission of the generated DCE Campaign and it is not the same as the first mission but I will not be able to generate my own new mission via dos like it was done in the first mission.
Is there any tutorial about this? Saidly its not explained very well...

Yes I installed it with DCE Manager. And enabled the DCE_Missionscript_mod via OVGME.
Where can I find the miz file itself? I have all the files in the saved games...Mods/tech/DCE folder but cant find the miz itself.

After testing another campaign it failed to generate the first mission (Hind Cyprus Campaign), while that was no problem with the other campaign.
I guess this is a total different problem then above, right?
