Just a question but if you are going to design a system that forces your paying customers to login before they can play the software that you have been paid for, would it not be prudent to design some automatic redundancy should the main server dealing with login requests fall over ? Kinda like having a watch dog check on the server to see if connections work and if it fails the system auto switches in a back up server? There are servers in different regions, but I think the master server is just in one location ( I could be completely wrong ) Generally if you can login to https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com in your browser it should be working, but sometimes issues happen like now. It is being looked into, also ED are working on improving their network and servers to make it more robust. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? swagchimp Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 I just got a new PC so I have to download all of DCS World + modules. I don't know if this is a different problem but I'll write it in here anyways. When I click on the launcher itself the update window opens for a second or two and then closes again. When I use cmd.exe to do a repair I get an error message "ssl peer certificate or ssh remote key was not ok". Same issue or something else? If the latter, I'll open a new thread.
