MikeMikeJuliet Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Yes, at least I do. But as I have written in the first post, by the time all those modules have gotten out, probably an year and a half or even more would have past. So there is a big window to work on them + that they already are. It is more of a support showing for the idea I guess We also need to remember that it is not the same people updating all of DCS World. Most likely (reading between the lines) the guy responsible for the AI mainly works on that, where as other people work on the modules (same thing with maps, they have different people working on those). In this light I don't see the module developement directly affecting AI developement. That said an AI is probably one of the most difficult things one can code, especially so when the AI should not affect performance of the software too much. zaelu Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 My moneys are on general AI made by others... Like Google deep Mind or Tesla Open AI... etc. We need external bots connected to a game via Internet like normal clients. Zero hassle to develop for ED. They can focus on networking so the bots can fit in. No matter how much ED would try the scripted AI would still look dumb to humans.
