Alfredson007 Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Has Eagle Dynamics or 3rd party developers ever told how they develop their great modules? Particulary, how much real actual aircrafts are used? Are they used almost never or almost always? These are rare birds most we fly.. and how extensive the flight tests are if they are made? Do they mainly rely on manuals, other literature and pilot tales? Are there any videos or diaries of development to be seen?
Art-J Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Oh, the real ones are used allright when gaining access is possible... sometimes even used too much (yes, DCS Spitfire, I'm looking at you, with your historically inaccurate components and paintscheme copied too eagerly from the real MH434 :D) As for the flight modelling, the best vid on the subject, featuring the No.1 physics man in the company, was related to the L-39 (don't forget to turn on relevant subtitles, unless your Russian is fluent ;) ): ugCJxI6j9CA i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Alfredson007 Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 Hey wow, thanks alot, very nice video. I love the L-39. I just wish it would get a bit more love to get some graphical update, details mainly, maybe some scrathes to canopy and so on.

We pilots should do our best not to scratch the glass and make sure the bugs are cleaned off before we go again. 6700K@4.6 48Gb - 1080Ti Hybrid - Warthog - RIFT
