Shadow KT Posted September 1, 2017 Author Posted September 1, 2017 (edited) Have you been thinking of avoiding flying on servers with settings DATA EXPORT = YES? :music_whistling: Well, I would like to believe that people are not that cheap :), but that is my second explanation I've been trying to get a track the whole morning, but didn't really engage any mirages... TBH, right at the end I had just that a contact tracking me with a clean RWR, which I was pretty sure was a Miragehe tracked me for more than 30 miles head on, and I don't know if the radar got confused or something, but all of sudden he broke off and it showed be a KC-135 on the radar... which doesn't make sense. I can still post the track if you want me to. Someone in Tacview can review it Edited September 1, 2017 by Shadow KT 'Shadow' Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days
MikeMikeJuliet Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Well, I would like to believe that people are not that cheap :), but that is my second explanation Unfortunately some are, even in flight sims. DCS Finland | SF squadron
Jinker Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Have you been thinking of avoiding flying on servers with settings DATA EXPORT = YES? :music_whistling: What is that? Is it a kind of cheat? High jinks!
MikeMikeJuliet Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 What is that? Is it a kind of cheat? Not per se. Dataexport means that external programs can get data from DCS. This is the way that Jetseat and Buttkicker and all the radio programs, like SRS, work. If it is not allowed, no external program can get information from the game. The downside of this of course is, that someon can use the info in a program to allow them to see other players without radar or otherwise... I'm no expert, so I don't know what all is available to export, but I do know it could technically be used to cheat along with all the cool programs that really add to the experience. Regards, MikeMikeJuliet Theres an option for tacview to delay the info, so you're not seeing the actual battlefield but an old one.
