fitness88 Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Pixel density can be adjusted in both the Oculus Tray Tool and DCS. I'm not sure which one PD should be adjusted in or should they be set in both with equal values? Thank you.
toutenglisse Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Hi, pixel density in OTT is an override. I only use PD in OTT if a game doesn't feature PD ingame (like P3Dv4) In a game featuring PD the only interest to use OTT (IMO) is that the PD in OTT is more accurate in settings (for exemple you can set 1.75 while in DCS you can set 1.7 or 1.8 but not 1.75) In DCS I only use ingame PD.
dburne Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 I too only use PD in OTT if the game does not offer it. fitness88 Posted September 13, 2017 Author Posted September 13, 2017 So then do you set the Super Sampling in OTT to zero while making your PD settings only in DCS? I like the affect I get with a PD of 1.8-2.0 but with the hit PD takes in frame rates is there a way to help offset that while maintaining the higher values?

Yeah I use profiles in OTT, so for all my games the SS is set by default to 0 unless I go in and change it. My profile for DCS is ASW Off and SS at 0, since I use PD in the game settings. 1.8-2.0 is pretty high for DCS in it's current state, especially Normandy. I run I think 1.5. fitness88 Posted September 13, 2017 Author Posted September 13, 2017 Thanks to both of you for the info. Dburne I've read your past posts about having ASW off, I don't know why you can get better/smoother performance than with ASW in auto?

Dburne I've read your past posts about having ASW off, I don't know why you can get better/smoother performance than with ASW in auto? Well it is smooth for me, can't really say why - but the biggest difference is no gunsight recticle craziness in the Spit and not so much blurriness as planes fly by. Between the two I have just gotten to where I prefer it off.
