In the trailer at 1:10 secs, how can I perform that maneuver?...it's like a flat spin but in the vertical axis, had no idea the 33 could make such an advanced maneuver kind of wht the 35 uses to do in displays and such...

I enabled the direct control switch and all the ACS systems are disconnected but even then I'm not able to perform such a maneuver.

Also, for some reason, when making hard pitch pulls, the plane feels like there is no possible roll control so you can't basically do any roll input during those high pitch moments...that could be the correct flight model and it's normal that in those conditions a plane could lost a lot of rolling capacity but I find weird how this one lost so much, it even feels like some kind of roll damper is avoiding excesive roll is those situations (like direct control were not enabled for alierons), for instance when I try to do the trailer maneuver. Also used full yaw and asymetric power.

thanks a lot!

One thing that could help is separate engine management: burn the right engine and idle the left together wigh full left rudder.

Never say never, Baby!

This is only possible with asymmetrical thrust. You can see the nozzles being in different settings in the video. One at mill, the other one at idle. Check out Stuge's Su-27 performance for some extreme nozzle maneuvers

Everybody gotta be offended and take it personally now-a-days

Thanks for the replies, as I said, I already tried using full yaw and asymmetric thrust but I might be doing something wrong and/or it's something very tricky and would need some practice to master...

either way, I feel "odd" the behaviour of the roll when pulling the stick at the same time, it can barely make any roll at all and feels like the plane is somewhat being constrained but, well I'm not a su-33 pilot so I might be wrong...

Yeah I fly the Flanker and I know how hard is to replicate these maneuvers in DCS that you see in real life. It requires a lot of practice, keep training and you'll eventually get there!

I find it beautiful and many other maneuvers too. Example, Kulbit, which I thought it was impossible without TVC, but it's 100% possible, it just requires practice in case you want to perfect it.

Is there any guides or videos on how to preform any of these manoeuvres?

INTEL i9 9900k @ 5Ghz, Asus Z390 strix ROG, 32gb 3200mhz Ram, Nvidia GTX 1080Ti, Corsair RM850i, Corsair H110i,, HP REVERB, Win 10 64bit.

thanks for the feedback mate ;), just searched for the "Kulbit" and omg!:D, can we do that in DCS?:pilotfly:, I need to do that :D

I also wonder how similar the su-33 FM would be compared to a su-35 and a su-30? (apart of the vectored thrust)...ask this because I have seen lots of videos of them and they seem to be able to perform very sharp rolls at very low speed while also performing hard pitch movements at the same time...as I have said, the 33 seems to enter in a "only pitch" state when you pull the stick and just won't respond to roll inputs durig that moment.

that would be a very nice idea pal, but I couldn't fin anything.

thats pugachev cobra. bind your asc off S to your hotas, hold stick back at 400 knots or less, then hit it.
