Looney
AlphaOneSix did a great job at explaining the various systems of the Mi-8 using RL pictures, drawings and diagrams. All these little gems were discussed in detail in their own thread and as such, got pushed down the list. Since this information is important and, in my opinion, a mandatory read for every Mi-8 pilot, I'm posting them here for everyone to read. Here goes: Ice protection system: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=152402 Fuel system: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151933 Hydraulic system: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=152670 Flight controls: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=152786 Electrical system: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=152830 Fire protection system: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151326 All kudos and praise to AlphaOneSix, thanks man, great stuff. If I've missed a system, please let me know. Let's hope we can get this stickied! 1 2 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commodore 64 | MOS6510 | VIC-II | SID6581 | DD 1541 | KCS Power Cartridge | 64Kb | 32Kb external | Arcade Turbo
chromium
Saw now. Fantastic. Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously. AlphaOneSix
There are more but I need to convert them, which is a bit of a pain because I used a lot of animations. Maybe that was a bad idea...
